The mayor of the capital, Kakha Kaladze, got acquainted with the damage settlement works caused by heavy rainfall in Leghvtakhevi on August 17, 2026, Monday.
The territory is being cleared of branches and various debris broken by heavy rainfall. All relevant departments of the city hall, including employees of Tbilservice Group LLC and Ecoservice Group, are involved in the process.
“Cleaning works are underway in Legvtakhevi. The heavy rainfall that fell two days ago created certain problems in specific districts and neighborhoods of the capital. Legvtakhevi was one such location. The river overflowed, which damaged the existing infrastructure, and now its restoration and cleaning of the territory are underway. The railings are also damaged. It will take us several days to restore everything. All our services were mobilized at all addresses where the problem was observed and from where we received the call. We have not left a single place where we have not visited. We will help everyone, stand by them, and everything will be in order,” said Kakha Kaladze.
Mobile groups of the “Tbilservice Group” are locally distributed to those points where movement was delayed, or danger was created due to heavy rainfall. Both special equipment and manpower are fully involved in the liquidation process. At the same time, drainage networks and wells, which were filled with various types of waste as a result of heavy rainfall, were cleaned, and the roadway was freed from the brought soil and sludge.
With the expected weather forecast, process monitoring continues continuously. Relevant units of “Warm Service Group” remain fully ready to meet any challenge or possible situation promptly.
Also present at the site were Deputy Mayor Irakli Bendeliani, Director of the “Warm Service Group” Giorgi Papava, Governor of Krtsanisi Lasha Tsaguria, Majoritarian MP of the district Levan Japaridze, and Director of the Georgian National Botanical Garden Irine Danelia.
