In order to develop infrastructure and create a safe, modern and high-quality learning environment for students, various types of repair and rehabilitation works are actively carried out in order to develop infrastructure in Tbilisi public schools.
The Tbilisi City Hall shared the glimpses of the rehabilitation works on its official Facebook Page on August 22, 2026, Saturday. The City Hall also shared a small note about the meeting along with its glimpses.
As part of the rehabilitation, several public school yards and learning spaces will be completely renovated. Works will be done to renovate the building, classrooms, and bathrooms.
Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze, along with Tbilisi Vice-Mayor Giorgi Tkemaladze, got acquainted with several projects on the spot.
Vice-Mayor of Tbilisi, Giorgi Tkemaladze, thanked the Ministry of Education, regional departments and contractor companies and noted that rehabilitation works are being done with high quality.
“Across the capital, repair works of schools are actively underway. It is a priority for us that as the new school year begins, schools are infrastructure-ready. We go above and beyond to ensure that rehabilitation work is carried out to the highest quality. These projects will be completed in the near future, and pupils will have the opportunity to continue their studies in decent conditions. I would like to thank the Ministry of Education, regional departments and companies for their coordinated work, – said Giorgi Tkemaladze.
Together with the Minister of Education and Vice-Mayor, members of the Georgian Parliament, Deputy Mayor of the Capital Kakha Abuladze, representatives of Tbilisi City Hall and City Council, as well as the leaders of the relevant districts of the capital got acquainted with the process of repair works in public schools.
