Another greatest project namely “Youth for Sustainable Development” has been implemented. The project has been launched within framework of grant competition of LEPL youth agency.
The information on implementation of this project is also shared on social media handles by representative of youth agency of Georgia. The official Facebook page of youth agency stated, “Within the framework of the grant competition of the LEPL Youth Agency, another large-scale project – “Youth for Sustainable Development” was implemented.”
At the same time the official Facebook page underlined, “The closing event of project was attended by the Acting Head of the Youth Agency Vakhtang Baakashvili, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Education, Science and Youth Affairs Givi Mikanadze and the First Deputy Chairman Giorgi Chakvetadze.”
It is worth to note that within the framework of the project, trainings, seminars and master classes were held for more than 200 young people. The winners were also identified, who were on a study visit to the Youth Centre of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France.
This is very important to acknowledge that, the project “Youth for Sustainable Development” is one of the winners of the LEPL Youth Agency grant competition “Strengthening Youth Organizations”.
The concept of sustainable development become very important in last few years. This concept also gain significance as large number of people expressed concern over the rising temperature and global warming.
The global warming is depleting snow cover on glaciers which have created big threat to existence to many coastal countries across globe. This is also to be added that more such initiative will be taken in future also.
The projects are being appreciated by many education experts who said this is need to hour to aware youth on importance of environmental protection and significance of sustainable development as well.
Notably youth agency has organised many awareness campaign so far to make the youth aware on environmental issues. Moreover, agency also said that this series of activities will continue in future also.
