A new project namely “Volunteer Activities in Sports” has implemented recently in Batumi city. This significant project has been implemented under the grant competition of LEPL youth agency.
The LEPL agency in Georgia helps for developing and implementing youth policy throughout country. The agency besides implementation of polices used to organise other events aimed for overall upliftment of standard of living of youth of country.
As per the information received from Batumi administration the project covered the number of activities for youth participating. Within the framework of the project, trainings were held on the many important topics. Some of the important topics also includes “Volunteer Involvement in Sports Events”, “History and Modernity of Volunteer Activities”, Educational, sports and entertainment activities were also held for the project participants.
It is also worth to note that a summary event in this regard was attended by Anzor Megrelishvili, Deputy Head of the Youth Agency, Badri Nakashidze, Deputy Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara and representatives of the sports sector.
The LEPL agency also arrange competition for different organisation working in social and youth development field to recognise activates services of these organisation also. This project namely volunteer Activities in Sports is one of the winners of the LEPL Youth Agency grant competition.
This completion was held under the name “Support for Regional Youth Initiatives”. It is also to be noted that in the previous year also LEPL encouraged many organisations working in field of youth activates to come forward on a single platform.
It has also encouraged other organisation to coordinate with each other so that benefits of youth related welfare program can be availed by maximum number of young people from across the country as well.
On the other hand, youth agency while taking to social media handles also shared glimpse of this event. The event was graced by presence of many esteemed members of different youth organisation besides LEPL. They shared their views and experience with each other on this occasion.
