It is to be added that the supreme council of the country in May 1918 declared the restoration of the independence. This Declaration of Independence was based on the Independence Act of the country.
On the day of independence day restoration, the Supreme Council also appealed to the world for cooperation. They demanded the support of people across the globe for the Georgian people who were fighting for freedom, rights, democracy, and justice as well.
To commemorate the day in its letter and spirit large and small-scale events are celebrated in many parts of Georgia. Seminars, workshops, and lectures are held to inform the young generation about the historical significance of the day.
