Tbilisi: The Foreign Minister of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili met with Jonathan Janogli, the Chairman of the Interparty Group that is working on the issue of Georgia in the British Chamber of Communities, during his recent official visit to the United Kingdom. Also, he met the Georgian students, studying in the United Kingdom.
At the meeting, both the parties welcomed the active and cordial parliamentary ties that have been prevalent between Georgia and the United Kingdom. An extended support for Georgia was expressed by the British Parliament during the meeting. Further, a discussion regarding the visit of the interparty group to Georgia was also held by the parties in the meeting.
Notably, both the parties welcomed the format of the Wardrop strategic dialogue and highly appreciated both the ongoing meetings within the framework of the strategic dialogue and the parliamentary dimension it carries. A high evaluation was also given to cooperation at the legislative level and cooperation in various other formats.
Futher , the Georgian Foreign Minister, Ilia Darchiashvili also toured the United Kingdom as he went on to meet with the Georgian students, who have been receving education in the higher universities and institutions in the United Kingdom.
Ilia Darchiashvili provided the students with information on the agenda of the relations that exist between the United Kingdom and Georgia and highly appreciated both the ongoing visit and the strategic dialogue of the Wardrop, paying special attention to cooperation in the cultural and educational spheres between countries and the opportunity for Georgian students to get education in the United Kingdom.
