The Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, took part in the graduation event of the first graduates of integrated vocational education programs.
The Minister congratulated the young people on their graduation and wished them success in their future endeavors. During his speech, Givi Mikanadze paid special attention to the importance of implementing integrated vocational education programs in schools.
The Education Minister said, “The main goal was, by implementing integrated vocational programs in public schools, to enable young people to master the profession, along with full general education. Today a goal has been achieved – through the completion of these programmes, young people in school, alongside general education, gained practical knowledge and skills to help them develop their profession in the future.”
“When I see young people who have already taken a significant step towards their careers, I am convinced even more that this initiative was very necessary and timely. Notably, some of the graduates have already been given employment opportunities as soon as they finish their studies, – said Givi Mikanadze.
During the event, the minister gave tokens of thanks to the principals of public schools involved in the project for their significant contribution to the development of the program.
