Tbilisi: The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Irakli Karseladze, held an introductory meeting with Shaohong Yang, the new Deputy Director of the Central and West Asia Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
At the meeting, the parties reviewed the important infrastructural projects, which are being carried out by the financing and support of the International Financial Institute in Georgia. The discussions at the meeting also touched on  important projects in the field of road infrastructure. These projects include the water supply projects  and the execution of  hydrotherapy systems and municipal development in Georgia.
The Georgian Infrastructure Minister Irakli Karseladze emphasized that the Asian Development Bank has always been important partner of the Infrastructure Ministry, which has, in fact, been involved in the development of all aspects of the Ministry’s development activities in Georgia.
In his turn, Deputy Director  Shaohong Yang highly appreciated the progress of the ongoing projects that are being supported by the bank and the experience gained in Georgia, which will be the basis for the formation of new approaches and policies of the Asian Development Bank in the future ventures.
The parties of the meeting also discussed further deepening of cooperation and possibilities of implementing new projects for the upliftment of the infrastructure and civil facilities in Georgia and contribute towards even better services for the Georgian Citizens.
The introductory meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Mzia Giorgobiani, Chief of the Minister’s Office Tamar Akhvlediani, Deputy Head of the Georgian Mission Kamil Boumedi, other representatives of the Georgian mission and the Asian Development Bank.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister thanked the representatives of the Asian Development Bank for their many years of fruitful cooperation and expressed their willingness to expand the cooperation in the future.
