The Prosecutor General of Georgia, Giorgi Gvarakidze, and Rector of Kutaisi International University Vakhtang Tsagareli signed a memorandum of cooperation between the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia and Kutaisi International University.
Within the memorandum, the parties will jointly plan and implement events that will promote young people’s hands-on experience and expand professional opportunities.
After signing the memorandum, the Attorney General of Georgia met with the students of the Kutaisi International University of Law School. Giorgi Gvarakidze noted that the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia is ready to provide additional opportunities to students and interns to get practical experience, which will further assist students in shaping their future career goals. The Prosecutor General also noted that the prosecutors will work closely with the Kutaisi International University.
Giorgi Gvarakidze wished success to the students and expressed hope that some of them would be employed in the Georgian Prosecutor’s Office.
After signing the memorandum, Mirian Megrelishvili, the head of the Center for Professional Development of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Georgia, “Powers of Prosecutor in the Criminal Prosecutor’s Office,” held a public lecture for the students of Kutaisi International University of Law School. He answered questions from young people and pointed out future cooperation.
The Event was attended by the Prosecutor General of Georgia Giorgi Gvarakidze, the First Deputy Prosecutor-General of Georgia Zurab Beltadze, Deputy Giga Dzneladze, the Head of the Professional Development Center of the Prosecutor General of Georgia Mirian Megrelishvili, the District Prosecutor of West Georgia Zaza Metonidze, and the Prosecutors of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Giorgi Gvarakidze.
It should also be noted that they were hosted by Vakhtang Tsagareli, Executive Director of Kutaisi International University (KIU), Chancellor Levan Kopaliani, Head of Law School Devi Khvedeliani, Head of Legal Services Khatia Samkharadze, and during their visit, they gave them a tour of the university city.
