Georgia: Georgia won another bronze medal on the sixth day of the Paris Paralympics. Nina Tibilashvili, a Georgian wheelchair rider (category A), became a bronze prize winner. He defeated French Brianna Vide for third place in the sword fight with a score of 15:11.
Georgia’s First Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports, Yoseb Bagaturia, attended the Georgian para-athlete competition.
Nina Tibilashvili’s award is the seventh medal of the Paralympic Games for Georgia. Her achievement is not just a victory, but a testament to the indomitable spirit of the human will. She is the first Georgian paralympic athlete to win medals at two different Paralympic Games, having previously won a silver medal at the Tokyo Paralympic games.
Another wheelchair shovel – Irma Khetsuriani (category B), competed at the Paris Paralympic Games and finished the Paralympics in fifth place.
On February 4, Nina Tibilashvili and Irma Khetsuriani will test their strength in Rapir Sharpi, and paramethrow Lado Chincharauli will compete in 50 50-meter shooting in the R9 category. These upcoming events are not just future competitions, but promises of more thrilling moments in the Paris Paralympics.
As a reminder, Georgia has three medals at the Paris Paralympics so far. The championship was celebrated by the resilient Giga Ochkhikidze, and the bronze medal was won by 19-year-old parataekwondoist Ana Japaridze.
For information, the Georgian government will give 1,000,000 GEL to the champion of the Paralympic Games, 500,000 GEL to the silver medalist, and 250,000 GEL to the bronze medalist.

Nino Tibilashvili was born on May 11, 1997. She is a Georgian wheelchair fencer who won the silver medal at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan, and the bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris, France.
