Tbilisi: The National centre for development of the quality education of Georgia attended the annual forum on the European Quality Assurance. The co-organiser of the meeting is the European Association for higher education assurance. It was held at Twente university in the Netherlands.”
The information in this regard was shared by the Georgian official on the different social media handles. As per the official Facebook post, “The National Centre for the Development of Quality of Education participated in the Annual Forum on European Quality Assurance (EQAF), which is co-organized by the European Association for Higher Education Quality Assurance (ENQA), the European Association of Students (ESU), the European Universities Association (EUA) and the European Association of Higher Education Institutions ((EURASHE) (E4 Group).
It is worth to note that the EQAF Forum is being held since 2006 for higher education stakeholders. The platform is a unique opportunity for stakeholders interested in higher education to stay updated on the latest developments in higher education, share experiences and best practices in the field and grow their networks.
The main goal of the Forum is to promote dialogue on quality assurance, which in the European quality assurance space, provides opportunities for discussion on quality assurance in higher education institutions and creates a unified European perception of quality through discussions between different stakeholders.
On this occasion sessions on different topics were held for three days. Participants discussed trends in higher education, new innovative approaches and tools for a holistic approach to quality delivery, current developments in quality delivery and prospects for a future review of European Standards and Guidelines for Higher Education (ESG -2015).
Also the forum held a discussion on the linking of education and the third mission of higher education institutions, how quality provision can meet the needs and challenges arising from the interconnectedness of all three missions and how to promote cooperation to improve the quality of higher education within the framework of all three missions of universities. During work meetings, key speakers also shared practical examples.
