Tbilisi: Georgian Airlines has shared Magda Kaadze’s successful journey. She has been a co-pilot with Georgian Airlines for a long time and belongs to Tusheti.
It is to be noted that Magda Kaadze is the only woman in the crew of “Georgian Airways” has been working as a second pilot in the airline since 2018. According to Magda Kaadze, “ There are many pilots from Tusheti city of Georgia, in our company there are 5-6 pilots from Tusheti. These people introduced me to the field of aviation in my childhood. Local pilots often came to the village, sometimes flying down by helicopter; I talked a lot with pilots and trained aviators.”
She added “I was fortunate in my family. We always respected each other’s opinions and decisions. Expressing my desire was enough for us to make a joint decision to enroll in Aviation University. I shared with my father that I wanted to learn the profession of a pilot. He told me only one thing, you are struggling with a difficult profession. You will have to work hard and try to do everything to bring this dream to real.”
Magda has experience of 3000 hours. He does not forget the emotion of the first flight both with an instructor and independently after starting to work for an airline company. He does not forget the support of instructors, colleagues, and ship commanders.
According to her “It is not an easy profession , there is a lot of theoretical material to learn and during practical training you need to be careful to do everything safely. However when your profession is yours everything gives you pleasure, the views during the flight, the sunrise at dawn, the sunset, successful take-off and landing, satisfied passengers”.
Magda advises young people who want to pursue a career in aviation to believe in themselves and work hard. She stated “It is necessary to believe that you are making the right choice. You should be prepared as much as possible that you will have to work a lot, but this work will definitely bring results and then you will understand that you are at a place where you should be and your place is in aviation”.
