Georgia: The Georgian Minister of Education, Science, and Youth, Giorgi Amilakhvar, met with the Youth during the internship program. Young people who expressed their desire to intern in state agencies attended the meeting and underwent appropriate interviews.

In particular, about 100 young people are undergoing a four-month paid internship at the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth.

At the meeting, Giorgi Amilakhvar discussed the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth’s structure and work specifics.

The minister also introduced the progress of the internship program to the young people and assured them of his support, wishing them success in their future endeavors. According to him, each intern in the Ministry will have a mentor, a flexible schedule, and appropriate characteristics at the end of the internship.

As Giorgi Amilakhvar noted, the paid internship program is a unique opportunity for young people to develop their careers and gain work experience. He expressed his belief in the interns’ potential and made them feel valued and important.

During the meeting, the trainees had the opportunity to ask questions and get detailed information on exciting issues, such as the specific roles and responsibilities of the interns, the projects they will be involved in, and the skills they can expect to develop during the internship.

They remind everyone that the internship program is an initiative of the Prime Minister of Georgia, who has shown great interest in nurturing the Youth and preparing them for the future workforce. The Ministry of Education, Science and Youth coordinates the program, ensuring its smooth implementation and effective management.

In the program’s first year, the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth provides 4-month paid internships for young people in all public institutions, which apply to the regulatory norms of internships.

Young people who have already filled out the relevant applications and passed the interview stage from September 2024 are already going for paid internships in various government agencies.
