A new vocational college is being constructed in Gurjaani town. The new college project is a joint venture between ministry of education, science and youth of Georgia, Caucasus University and Basque Culinary school.
The new vocational college will have capacity to accommodate 200 students who will be trained in different courses related to vocational courses. The deputy minister of education, science and youth of Georgia Giorgi Jincharadze, together with the Mayor of Gurjaani Municipality Giorgi Machavariani inspected the construction works of the college recently.
The vocational college will be established on an area of ​​21,600 square meter and this college will be equipped with theoretical training auditoriums, conference and demonstration halls, a restaurant, kitchen, refrigeration and storage spaces.
At the same time the building will be fully adapted for people with special needs and will be equipped with all the necessary inventory and the latest technology. A campus for 60 students, a gym and a recreational space will also be provided on the territory of the college so that students can get maximum benefits.
The project, which costs 16,672,256.76 GEL, is being implemented by the educational and scientific infrastructure development agency of the ministry of education. Â As a result of the implementation of the new large-scale project, the region will gain another educational space that will meets European standards.
In the present competitive world, the vocational education has become a need of hour. The people with vocational, professional degrees and skill have more chances of employment in every sector.
The establishment of this vocational centre is also a major step forward to upgrade skills of the youth of country and make them job ready so that they can go for job with confidence.
