As per the report anemia was the cause of death for women caused by multiple wounds given by the accused. A psychiatric-psychological test was ordered to be conducted on the accused to determine his state of mind.
The report stated that the accused was able to understand the nature of the crime at the time of the commission of the offense. Family members of the victim lady requested and appealed to the court for the hard punishment of life imprisonment.

It is worth noting that the officials and lawyers of the NGO “Rights Georgia ”did not agree with the finding of a court of law. They also shared their point with the official of the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia in the context of an appeal to the country’s Supreme Court. The non-government organization Rights Georgia was pursuing the cases with the active support of the USAID Rule of Law Program.
