Tbilisi: The meeting of Georgia’s coordination council and the centre management was held for the first time. This significant first meeting was held under the supervision of the National Centre for the Development of the Quality of Education.
The local and international members of the Council attended the summary meeting to discuss the number of projects. In the framework of the working meeting all the members discussed a brief report on the activities of 2023 and gave their suggestions.
The meeting participants discussed the mid-term evaluation of the center’s strategy for 2021-2025 and the recommendations, best practices and proposals for further development roadmap presented by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).
The meeting participants discussed the current activities, the vision of the center of development and future plans to bring important changes. The members of the coordination council talked about the role of the council in the activities of the center and briefly reviewed the issues presented and agreed upon within the current council.
In addition opinions, visions and recommendations were also shared with the management of the centre on each discussed issue. It is worth noting that the foreign members shared their country’s experiences in terms of organizational development and quality assurance of education.
The participants of the meeting discussed the mechanism for selecting the members of the next coordination council, which is necessary to bring more transparency in its workings. As a result of the meeting the possibilities for further development of the centre were identified and the best practices were discussed.
The centre plans to use the feedback, recommendations and development opportunities received at the summary meeting of the coordination board and management for better management of the current processes.
The council will also implement these recommendations in developing the 2025 action plan and the 2026-2030 strategy, which is aimed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the center’s activities, bring education standards close to the European Union’s parameters and improve the overall quality of education.
