Georgia: The Deputies of Georgian Education, Science, and Youth Baia Kvitsiani and Tamar Gvamichava hosted a meeting with the Hungarian Ambassador to Georgia Ana Maria Shiko, and representatives of the Hungarian organization “Prohuman Group” leading in resource management on February 8, 2025, Saturday.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia shared glimpses of the meeting on its official Facebook page on the same day. The Ministry also shared a small note about the meeting discussions. According to the information shared by the Ministry, the sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries.
According to the information shared by the Ministry, it should be noted that Minister Ana Maria Shiko talked about strengthening cooperation between Georgia and Hungary and shared the best experiences about teaching methods of vocational education.
It should be also noted that Georgia and Hungary enjoy active cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats. The existing legal framework between the two countries includes several international agreements and facilitates cooperation in the fields of economy, defense, education, tourism, healthcare, etc.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia emphasizes dual education, or work-based learning in the vocational education system, which ensures the private sector involvement in vocational education and equips students with the skills needed for the labor market.
Within the framework of this meeting, the Hungarian Ambassador provided detailed information to the various countries about the steps taken by the Government of Georgia in the direction of environmental protection and about the achieved results in this direction.
It should be noted that, a memorandum was signed between Georgia and Hungary and on the basis of memorandum the Hungarian ambassador talked about deepening cooperation in the field of higher and vocational education and science and expressed his readiness to implement joint projects with Georgia.
The representatives from the “Prohuman Group” organization also delivered a presentation on authorized vocational training programs in Hungary during the meeting.
Notably, Georgia and Hungary have had a productive collaboration in the field of education for many years. The “Stipendium Hungaricum” exchange scholarship program, which provides Georgian and Hungarian youngsters with the chance to attend various higher education institutions, is one of the obvious examples of this collaboration.
