Tbilisi: Mayor attends “Master League” award ceremony

Kakha Kaladze the Mayor of Tbilisi (capital city of Georgia) attended the “Master League” award distribution ceremony. He awarded the prizess to winners and also addressed the participants.

At the same time the Mayor was also honored for his support of the “Master League” and his contribution to its development. While addressing the audience the Mayor added that the league is significant for all of us as it gives the people an opportunity to show their talent .

The mayor also expressed hope that many young people will be involved in the tournament this year so that they can learn new skills.

Speaking further Mayor Kakha Kaladze said “Many ex-footballers are participating in this tournament today and I am very happy to be a co-founder of this tournament on this occasion as well. Football is especially loved by many in Georgia and for those young people who want to play sports be it football or any other game this tournament is a very cool opportunity to do so. Every year this tournament provides a new strength and I am sure that many young people will be involved this year as well”.

According to the mayor with united efforts the new generation will see how important sports are for their healthy lifestyle.

The mayor of the capital thanked the organizers and sponsors of the tournament. For the support of “Master League” and the contribution to its development the mayor of the capital was awarded with a letter of thanks for the second time in a row. In addition Kakha Kaladze was also named as the best scorer of this year’s “Master Kafi”.

At the event the best players of the Western and Eastern “Master Leagues” as well as “Master League 3” “Master League 2”, “Master League 1”, “Tbilisi Mayor’s Cup” and “Master Kafi” tournaments were awarded with prizes along with team managers including from Tbilisi City Hall and City Hall Security Service teams.

Notably for the sixth year championships are being organized to promote this type of football, establish a healthy and sporty lifestyle, and establish professional, semi-professional, and amateur football leagues.
