Anzor Gvaramadze’s star, the founder of the children’s choreographic ensemble “
Mteebi,” was opened in Ozurgeti, Chess Park, to celebrate his significant contribution to the development of Georgian choreographic art and many years of fruitful achievement.

Anzor Gvaramadze is a prominent representative of Georgian choreographic art. His development started in Ozurgeti and continued in Tbilisi, in the ensemble “Mountains”.
The honored choreographer-teacher has been awarded the Orders of Honor and Excellence, has been awarded the Honorary Title “Knight of Choreography”, is the Laureate of the Catholic Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness Ilia II Award, and the Holder of the Title “Kurumi of Arts”.
Before the opening of the star, a video about Anzor Gvaramadze and a concert dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the ensemble “Mteebi” were held in Ozurgeti State Dramatic Theater, with the participation of the choreographic and folklore ensembles: “Mtiebi”, “Zenaari”, “Nartebi”, “Roots”, “Parsa” old generation dancers, “Jedkatsa” and “Vakhtanguri”.
Mayor of Ozurgeti Municipality Paata Kunchulia, State Trustee Giorgi Ghurjumelidze, Chairman of Ozurgeta Municipality of Guria, David, Chairman of the City Council of Ozurgetia Municipality, and representatives of the local government remained.
Mayor of Ozurgeti Paata Kunchulia presented Anzor Gvaramadze with a medal of honor and a cash prize of 1000 GEL for his special contribution to Georgian choreography. Events were held with the support of Ozurgeti Municipality Hall and organized by the Culture and Student-Youth Center.
