Moscow: Hundreds of Russians have gathered to mourn the untimely death of Alexander Dugin’s daughter Darya Dugina who had succumbed to a car blast outside Moscow city. Alexander is the closest aide of Russian President Vladimir Putin and often considered as Putin’s brains. Both Alexander and his daughter Darya have been vocal in support of the Russian Government in the invasion of Ukraine.

Mourners gathered at Moscow’s Ostankino TV centre, where her black and white portrait had been displayed over an open casket and paid their respects to the departed soul. “She died for the people, for Russia, at the front. The front; it is here,” said Dugin at the ceremony.

Ukraine has been suspected to be involved in the murder in some manner as Alexander seemed to be the attackers target, but Darya seems to have been unintentionally killed in the explosion. At the same time, Ukraine has denied all such accusations about being involved in any such act.

On the other hand, the Russian security agency FSB has claimed to have solved the entire murder mystery of Dugina within two days. The agency has named a Ukrainian woman as the main attacker.

According to FSB, the accused woman had rented an apartment in Dugina’s building and had been chasing her in a car, claiming Dugina to be the only intended victim of the whole incident.

However, various theories have surfaced behind the murder. Alexander and Darya had attended a festival event together. The father-daughter duo were meant to travel back together. Alexander, on the last instance, decided to travel separately.

The car, which Darya drove exploded on the highway outside Moscow. Darya had always openly vocalized her support for the Russian Government in the Ukrainian invasion.

The US Department of State has also condemned targeting civilians while stating that Ukraine had denied any involvement.
