There are 319 cases about which the special Investigation Service investigating in details. All these cases belong to violation of human rights during ongoing protests in capital city of Georgia, Tbilisi.
The protester are opposing the decision of government to suspend Georgia’s integration into European Union. The special investigation services have already initiated the investigation so that culprits behind the violent incidents can be brought to justice.
Notably Georgia’s current ruling party have decided to suspend all negotiations for its integration in European Union until 2028. The opposition parties as well as many other officials of civil society organizations and civil society organizations have been protesting this move.
They are alleging that this decision has been taken under influence of Russia. Moreover, Georgian government have also twisted its foreign policy under the influence of Russia.
As per information most of cases services have received through its hotline of the public defender office. The special investigation service’s official added that, they have been investigating matter in detail so that any further violation can be prevented at early moment.
So far five media personals along with 140 individuals have been examined so far by the official of office. Moreover if need arises more persons can be called for investigations as well.
So far, many people have been seriously injured in clash between both sides. This includes media personals, members of law enforcement agencies and common peoples as well.
The special investigation service to reach any concrete solution have sought a detailed report from the Emergency Situation Coordination and Urgent Assistance Centre of Georgia. This data will be used by the service to identities personals who are being treated at various medical facilities of Georgia.
On the other hand the sources of special investigation service also revealed that temporary Detention Department under the Interior Ministry is collecting administrative detention protocols and medical records. This will help them to maintain exact data about the injured people.
