Georgia: Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports were represented at an international exhibition called “Arabian Travel Market” which was held in Dubai. The theme of this year’s exhibition was “Global Travel: Strengthening Connections for Tourism Tomorrow”.
The event was being held for the 32nd time and the exhibition space, located in the Dubai World Trade Centre, hosted more than 55,000 delegates from 166 countries. Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports shared details and glimpses of the exhibition on their official Facebook account on April 29, 2025 (Tuesday).
It is to be noted that 33% of the companies represented at the exhibition were based in the Middle East and 67% of them were based in the rest of the world. Participation from these global companies highlighted the event’s growing importance in global tourism.
Tbilisi and Batumi international airports at this event were represented by the marketing department of TAV Airports Holding. During the meetings, representatives of the Holding provided information about the services and potential of Tbilisi and Batumi international airports to representatives of various airlines and tourism spheres.

The Tbilisi International Airport is the busiest airport of Georgia. It handled approximately 5 million passengers in 2024. The airport is operated and managed by TAV Airports Holding, making it a part of Groupe ADP.
Over 45 airlines operate from the airport, with nonstop or direct flights to over 25 countries. Tbilisi Airport is a hub for Georgian Airways, flag carrier of Georgia, as well as for MyWay Airlines and Camex.
The Batumi International Airport is one of three international airports in operation in Georgia (other two being Tbilisi International Airport and Kutaisi International Airport). The new airport terminal has been in operation since 26 May 2007. With a total area of 4,256 square metres (45,810 sq ft), it is capable of handling 600,000 passengers a year.
Batumi International Airport has noted a significant growth in the number of passengers since its renovation in 2007. In 2011, the airport handled 134,000 passengers, an increase of 51% over the previous year.
