Tbilisi, Georgia: The Environmental Service of Tbilisi City Hall in Didi Dighomi decided to construct a new two-hectare recreational space on Demetre Devaduli Street. The demand to arrange a park had been heard often from locals, but there was no possibility of doing so until now.
Tbilisi City Hall posted details on the recreation area on its official Facebook page on Thursday, February 13, 2025. A video was used by the government to disseminate the information. The Ministers talked about the area, and the video included glimpses of the new recreational area’s graphic illustration.
The mayor of Tbilisi, kakha Kaladze got acquainted with the ongoing works. Along with the mayor of Tbilisi, Paata Togonidze, the head of the Civil Service for Environmental Protection, Gizo Vasadze, and the representatives of the city council of the capital also inspected the ongoing works.
During the inspection, the Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze got acquainted with deputies Irakli Bendeliani and Andrea Basilaya.
According to the information, shared by the City Hall of Tbilisi, the works will be completed by the end of autumn and the public will be able to enjoy a wonderful recreational area, equipped with modern standards.
It is noteworthy that, as part of the rehabilitation works, the area has already been carried out by cutting the green grass. In addition, the area was cleared of construction debris, and illegal fences were removed.
Within the project, the area will have a walking path, an animal walking area, outdoor lighting and irrigation systems, and children’s and sports courts. Also, trees and plants will be planted and grass will be planted.
It should be noted that the amortized water collector was going through the recreational area, which was replaced. Also, the water system was set up and the gas pipe in the area was placed underground.
The residents of the municipality as well as social media users appreciated the mayor of the capital and the City Hall for this unique initiative.
