Tbilisi, Georgia: With the support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia, the Wine Festival “Wine Ambassadors 2025” was held in Tbilisi on May 1, 2025. The Festival was held at the 5-star hotel Wyndham Grand Tbilisi.
It should be noted that it was held within the framework of the state program of popularizing Georgian wine production on the local market. The main aim of the festival was to promote Georgian wine on both local and international markets. The festival hosted wine professionals, consumers, representatives of the Horeka sector, and commercial companies.
It is noteworthy that a tasting stage was done before presentation of Georgian wine. Therefore, only wines that successfully passed the tasting stage were presented at the festival- Wine Ambassadors 2025. The Guests will also have the chance to enjoy traditional Georgian dishes paired with wine while admiring the charming panoramic views of Old Tbilisi. The festival also welcomed representatives from the HoReCa sector and distribution companies.
During the festival, guests were allowed to get acquainted with the products of small family cellars and wine companies, to taste different types of wines. However, the event helped in promoting Georgian wine in local and international markets. It aim of the event was to support and promote wine tourism.
Notably, the National Wine Agency has been implementing the state program for the popularization of Georgian wine production on the local market. The Wine agency has been doing this in coordination with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
Within the framework of the program, wine exhibitions, competitions, and festivals are held throughout Georgia. They are very important for increasing wine tourism potential and wine consumption culture.
