Rehabilitation work of 34th and 37th public schools finishes in Kutaisi

Kutaisi, Georgia: The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia funded the complete rehabilitation of the 34th and 37th public schools in Kutaisi.

Aleksandre Tsuladze, Minister of Education, Science and Youth, got acquainted with the renewed school infrastructure. The minister also met the teachers and wished them a successful school year in a new environment.

As the minister noted, due to infrastructural work carried out in schools, young people can get education in a safer and more comfortable environment. He said teachers are also more motivated to work with modern technology to improve students’ academic performance, which promotes the quality of teaching in schools.

Along with the minister, Kutaisi Majoritarian MP Zaza Lominadze and Kutaisi Municipality Mayor David Eremeishvili got acquainted with the infrastructure of newly rehabilitated schools in Kutaisi.

The 34th Public School of Kutaisi has 450 students, and the project costs more than 5 million GEL. Regarding the 37th public school with 1200 pupils, its infrastructure project costs more than 7 million Gel.

In both schools, science and computer laboratories, libraries, canteens, resource rooms, doctors’ offices, and sports and activity halls function together as learning spaces.

Construction/rehabilitation works are actively underway throughout the country to develop school infrastructure. As a result, by the end of the year, 100 public schools will have completely renovated buildings in accordance with modern standards.
