Georgia: The complete rehabilitation of Askuri Street in the Isani district has been completed. The works were carried out in the road section from Lekh Kachinski Street intersection to Vazha Chachava Street.
The Tbilisi City Hall also shared the glimpses of the construction works carried out there on its official Facebook Page on September 3, 2025, Wednesday. The City Hall also shared some information related to the works along with its glimpses.
Within the scope of the project, underground and above-ground communications were completely rehabilitated, a drainage network was established, and power lines were placed underground. The external lighting network was also renewed, and energy-efficient LED lamps were installed.
The Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, got acquainted with Vice-Mayor Giorgi Tkemaladze about the completed works.
The mayor noted, “In the Isani district, on Askuri street, an important infrastructure project for the city was implemented. Glad to see that this street, which was in a dire condition, has been completely cleaned up and refurbished today. First of all, underground communications and damaged road cover were arranged.”
“The project also cleared the sidewalk, created new parking spaces, and landscaped. The power lines have been placed underground. Also, the underground bins have been installed. Everything that is done in the city is done for our children and future generations. “Of course, we will not stop at this and will continue to develop the city,” Kakha Kaladze said.
Asphalt paving, road lanes, and zebra crossings have been laid on Atkuri Street; road signs and traffic lights have been installed; parking spaces have been renewed and added, and ramps for the disabled have been installed.
Within the scope of the project, 55 tariffs on the territory, 2000 sq.m. were turned green. An irrigation system has been set up per meter, 800 sq m. In the M area, he planted grass and planted 2,213 plants of different types of seedlings. Notably, the rehabilitation works were financed by 6,5 million GEL from the capital’s budget.
On Azkuri Street, together with the mayor of the capital, deputies Irakli Bendeliani and Andria Basilaya, head of the civil service for infrastructure development Giorgi Abutidze, head of the greening city service Paata Togonidze, chief of the transport and urban development agency Nino Bagashvili, head of LLC “Tbilservi Group” Giorgi Papava, as well as members of parliament and city council, were present.
