The Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, awarded medals and awards to young scientists for outstanding scientific and pedagogical achievements on November 10, on the International Day of Science.

According to the details provided by the Education Ministry of Georgia, it should be noted that Givi Mikanadze gave a welcome speech at the event, and during his speech, he congratulated society on the International Day of Science and talked about the important role of each of them in the development of science.
Along with the minister, Shota Rustaveli, the General Director of the National Scientific Foundation of Georgia, Teimuraz Dochvir, gave the scientists honorary awards.
During the event, medals and honorary awards were given – Rustaveli Foundation Prize “For contribution and exceptional achievements in science” to 10 laureate scientists, Rustaveli foundation 2025 prize competition “For outstanding achievements in science” seven young scientists who won in science and Rustaveli fund 2025 prize competition “Women in science – For special achievements in mathematics “to the winner A woman scientist.
In 2025, Shota Rustaveli’s anniversary date of the Georgian National Scientific Foundation – 20th anniversary will be celebrated. In connection with this, a presentation was held during the event about the Foundation’s objectives, main directions, achieved results, and future priorities.
The main slogan of the International Day of Science in 2025 is: “Trust, transformation and future – what science should be like in 2050”.
The event was attended by representatives of the executive and legislative authorities, rectors of universities, scientists, researchers, and other guests.
