The Head of the Bioagricultural Research Service of the Agricultural Scientific and Research Center (SRCA) of Georgia, Gocha Tsereteli, participated in the 24th International Conference on World Talent Exchange. The conference event was held in Xiongnan New District, Hebei Province, People’s Republic of China.

During the conference, Gocha Tsereteli presented a report on the activities and main directions of the Agricultural Scientific-Research Center. The focus is on conserving plant genetic resources, developing biotechnologies, and manufacturing virus-free material.
The Jighauri National Ampelographic Collection was also noted as one of the most important reserves of grape genetic resources in Georgia and worldwide.
Gocha Tsereteli also presented a report to the conference participants on the topic – “The Current State of the Georgian Agricultural Sector and Prospects for Georgia-China Cooperation”, where he reviewed the main directions of development of the country’s agricultural sector and spoke about the possibilities of future Georgia-China cooperation.
Within the framework of the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Agricultural Scientific Research Center and the Agricultural Association of Hebei Province of the People’s Republic of China, which envisages deepening scientific cooperation between the parties, the exchange of experience, and the implementation of joint projects.
