Batumi: City hall approves Budget for 2025

The administration of Batumi city hall have approved the budget for next financial year. The decision to approve the budget was taken after due deliberation with the all stakeholders of city hall as well.

While sharing information on the social media handles of the City hall, Municipality shared information in this regard. As per the officials of Municipality total amount of budget this year was 500 million GEL.

It is also worth to note that this amount of 500 million GEL is more than 118 million GEL compared to the starting budget of 2024. The large chunk of this amount has been earmarked for social welfare schemes.

At the same time works which will be executed by the city hall have also been disclosed by the city hall administration. The priorities, which are financed by Batumi’s 2025 budget are as follow:

1. Development of municipal infrastructure – 266 million 36 thousand 600 GEL
2. Ecology work and other environment parks work worth- 42 million 462 thousand 400 GEL
3. Health care and social security – 29 million 327 thousand 500 GEL
4. Education – 50 million 584 thousand 100 GEL
5. Culture, sport, youth – 32 million 163 thousand 700 GEL
6. Development of municipal services – 14 million 207 thousand 600 GEL.

In 2025, 27 streets as well other important sections will be rehabilitated in Batumi. Some other important works also include:

1. 5 new ways will be set up
2. 2 new kindergartens will be built
3. Recreational space will be arranged at 20 addresses
4. 2 cultural heritage monuments will be rehabilitated
5. Elimination works will be carried out at 200 addresses
6. New water and sewerage systems will be set up in the united territories
7. Construction of residential houses will continue

Affordable housing project to construct cheap house for sale are also under consideration as well. The “Crash houses” program is also under pipeline. The social house is also planned for settlement in Shanghai.

Similarly funding for health and social care, as well as education, culture, sports and youth programs has increased which will ensure an increase in the number of beneficiaries of the programs.
