Tbilisi: The Georgian prosecutor’s office has filed criminal charges against two for intentional homicide. They attacked the victim on October 21, who died at the hospital as a result of injuries.
It is worth noting that after receiving the information, the law enforcer began the investigation, which was conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. The investigation by the Internal Affairs Ministry proved the guilt of the accused.
According to investigators both accused were travelling in their car. The car was moving on Svimon Kldiashvili Street in the capital city of Tbilisi. Moreover, one of the accused first abused the victim.
The victim was walking on the streets at that time. To oppose the verbal abuse, the victim himself moved towards the car of the accused persons. Meanwhile, the person who was driving the car slowed down the speed to fire the shot at the victim.
As a result of slow speed and with intent to kill the victim, the person who was sitting behind the driver opened fire on the victim. He used a firearm to execute his plan to kill the victim on the spot.
The shot of the firearm hit the victim and caused severe injury to the victim. The alleged incident of firing also put the lives of other walking people in danger. Meanwhile, the accused fled the spot after firing.
The victim was rushed to hospital, where he died because of grievous injury. It is worth noting that the law enforcement agencies, after completing the initial inquiry, arrested both accused on the same day. Sub subsections “B” and “I” under section 109 of Georgia’s criminal code have been imposed.
The abovementioned section defined the offense of intentional murder, intentionally endangering the life and health of others committed in a group. If the court finds the accused guilty at the conclusion of the trial, the accused can be sentenced to 16 to 20 years of imprisonment. They can be sentenced to undergo life imprisonment as well.
The Office of Prosecution requested that the court send him behind bars as preventative measures. This will ensure a fair and transparent trial.
