Budapest, Hungary: The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia David Songhulashvili met with Hungarian Energy Minister Chaba Lanto. They met during Songhulashvili’s official visit to Hungary on April 26, 2025, Saturday.
The Georgian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture shared the snippets of their meeting on its Official Facebook page. The post was accompanied with some details related to the discussions held at the meeting.
As per the details shared by the Ministry, it should be noted that at the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of deepening the current and future cooperation between the two countries, including environmental protection. Both sides expressed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations through the exchange of knowledge and best practices.
Importance of Hungary in the developement of Georgia’s economy
According to the information shared by the Ministry, it is worth mentioning that Minister Songulashvili emphasized the importance of Hungary’s experience in the development of water management systems and the implementation of a circular economy. He noted that such expertise is essential for the practical application of European regulations in Georgia.
The conversation also touched upon the relationship between Georgia and Hungary. They mentioned that this relationship is much more than political and economic cooperation. He said that there are strong brotherly ties between Georgia and Hungary.
It was also noted that Georgia is a friendly country for Hungary and, therefore, ready for multifaceted effective cooperation and sharing experience.
