The General Manager of “Tav Georgia” ( Tav Airports Holding ) held a working meeting with different stakeholders of Georgia aviation sector. “Tav Airport Holding” is a Turkish-based company that manages the Tbilisi and Batumi airports in Georgia. The meeting aimed to discuss the just-concluded season and the challenges facing the country’s airports.
Members of the joint airline committee attended the meeting. All participants discussed the summer season’s results and steps that can be implemented to boost revenue generation.The General Manager of “Tav Georgia” convened a working meeting with the joint committee of airlines to review the end of the summer navigation season and its outcomes.
Thea Zakaradze during this critical meeting met with several representatives of airlines operating from Georgia. It also held a meeting with officials from the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Aviation Security and Revenue Service representative were also present at this time to consult the 2024 summer navigation season.
Multiple issues related to the aviation industry were discussed. Some topics included projects that have already been completed during the summer season. This includes the construction of the fast exit, electronic exit and renovated prime class hall at the airport.
The abovementioned projects were completed to enhance the capacity of the terminals and reduce passenger queues in the border control area. Also a lot of attention was paid to the infrastructure works that will be implemented by the end of this year and next year.
It specifically includes the projects that will help to simplify passengers’ departure procedures. This will be made possible by installing new self-registering kiosks (Self Check-in) and electronic exits (E Gates) kiosks.
It is worth noting that the present parties expressed their readiness to cooperate to successfully complete the planned works within the stipulated time. The General Manager of “Tav Georgia” also listened to the airlines’ needs and demands and expressed his readiness to implement them to continue the efficient service delivery at the airport.
