Batumi: The citizens of Batumi forced to face multiple trouble caused by heavy rain. The officials and worker of Municipality are working in action mode to bring situation to normal as soon as possible.
The heavy rain in Batumi caused some delays of vehicular movement along with flooding streets, basements of residential houses and land plots. Relevant services of Batumi City Hall are mobilized at all problem locations so that further harm to life or property could be prevented.
To review the ongoing restoration work, the mayor of Batumi Archil Chikovan inspected the damage settlement works caused by heavy rainfall. The mayor during his visit there was accompanied by many other officials of the Municipality as well.
It is worth to note that due to climate change and global warming weather pattern of Georgia underwent significant change. The heavy rainfall that came steadily created a number of challenges in Batumi situations. As the problem grow, about 90 office of Municipality have received applications from citizens regarding the flooding of land plots and yards.

On the other hand weather department have released warning that bad weather will continue in the coming days, which can cause more such trouble for resident. However Mayor assured that we will continue to work for safety of life and property of residents.
Besides Mayor, the Viceroy of Batumi Nukri Dekanadze, the head of relevant services got acquainted with the progress of the works, which are still going on until now. The heavy machinery is engaged including earth moving machine for removal of garbage and other blockages.
