The Georgian young lawyer association’s lawyer Juba Katamadze met recently with detained journalist Mzia Amaglobeli. The lawyer Juba Katamadze said, journalist not wanted to stay in clinic and want her transfer to penitentiary institution.
The lawyer of Georgian young lawyer association Juba Katamadze visited Mzia Amaglobeli at Vivamed clinic. He apprises members of media houses after his visit about the health conditions of detained journalist.
According to lawyer Katamadze, “although due to her continue fasting her health conditions is down but she still have strong will power to fight for her rights”.
He also added that, during the meeting I have noticed that her condition is stable and does not seem to have any serious health issues. Moreover, she reiterated her commitment to continue her hunger strike for the rights of all people who have been arrested as political prisoners.
It is worth to note that Mzia Amaglobeli during this meeting with GYLA lawyer requested all the those who announced their hunger strike in her favour to end this fast. She specifically underlined that; I am thankful to all those who are supporting me, but they should resume eating.
The lawyer said the attitude of ruling party have just made her stronger and more determined to continue her fight against illegal action of government. Today necessary test will be conducted as recommend by team of medical professionals. The authorities can consider her request of transfer after conducting examinations, underlined lawyer of GYLA.
On the other hand while speaking about the health of journalist, Juba Katamadze, said as per information there is “no particular problems” in the analyses of her so far.
Mzia Amaglobeli was arrested by authorities on administrative grounds. However, law enforcement authorities has imposes criminal charges against for attacking a police officer on duty.
On the other hand Mzia Amaglobeli clamed that she is being attacked by the law enforcement agencies for opposing anti government policy. PM have justified her arrest due to political activities.
