Tbilisi: The renovated Primeclass Lounge and fast exit spece at Tbilisi International Airport have been officially opened after the renovation work, which had been under construction for a long time.
According to information in the departure hall of Tbilisi International Airport, the renovated Primeclass Lounge and Fast Track exit was officially opened just a day ago. Moreover the extended lounge allows for serving more passengers in a comfortable environment.
On the occasion of the opening ceremony an event was held at Tbilisi International Airport which was attended by Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili. He was accompanied by the member of the executive board of “TAV Airport” and chairman of the committee – Frank Mereid, the general manager of “TAV Georgia” – Tea Zakaradze, and many other officials of the aviation sector as well.
It is worth mentioning that TAV Georgia is the main managing company of Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports. The company has taken many initiative in the past to increase the capacity of the airport, and expanded the departure hall at Tbilisi Airport, within the framework of which new spaces were added to the terminal.
The fast track system was installed by the TAV Operation Service and VISA as a result of the cooperation . With the introduction of this facility new visa premium cardholders will be served with fast exit without queuing. The total investment cost of the project is 2,200,000 GEL.
It is also worth noting that as a result of the investment made in Tbilisi International Airport the area of the business lounge increased by 84% and the number of passenger seats increased by 73%. TAV Operation Services implemented the project of primeclass lounge with an updated design, the total investment cost of which amounted to 700,000 GEL.
