Dubai: The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze held an interactive meeting with President of United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. PM is visiting UAE along with high official of his government is on a state visit to United Arab Emirates.
Prime Minster Kobakhidze while taking to his social media handles shares glimpses of this meeting. PM informed on his official Facebook page that he met with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at his residence.
It is worth to note that during this meeting at residence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan the member of Georgian delegation were also present. After the meeting PM apprised member of media houses that this was a very productive meeting.
PM said both sides have discussed multiple issue of bilateral importance while sharing their views with each other.
This bilateral meeting of leaders from both countries also touched upon various areas of bilateral cooperation and the positive dynamics of deepening investment and economic ties.
Georgian Prime Minister in this meeting noted that the Georgian government welcomes investments from the United Arab Emirates and the interest of the largest development and logistics companies in investing in Georgia.
He said in this context, the Abu Dhabi Ports Group’s large investment in the Tbilisi Dry Port project, the official opening of which is planned for 2025 was highlighted. The countries also discussed the successful completion of negotiations with the largest development company EMAAR, because of which a multi-billion-dollar investment will be made in Georgia.
Moreover, Georgian delegation under PM also expressed interest in continuing negotiations with the Abu Dhabi State Investment Company to further expanding cooperation in strategic logistics and transport projects.
Similarity the meeting also focused on the challenges in the region and the special importance of stability. Prime Minster Irakli Kobakhidze also invited the President of the United Arab Emirates to pay an official visit to Georgia.
