The construction of a new kindergarten has reached the final stage at Okami village in Kaspi Municipality of Shida Kartli region of Georgia. The structural part of the building which includes installing engineering equipment has already been completed.
The new kindergarten will have the capacity to accommodate 75 students who will benefit from world-class educational facilities. The new kindergarten building will have a bedroom, playroom, changing and administrative rooms, kitchen, dining room, laundry, elevator and evacuation stairs for emergency. The school’s yard will also be used to create spacious playgrounds where students can play in their free time and relax.
It is also worth mentioning that this new kindergarten building will be built in full compliance with modern standards and established norms. The building is fully adapted for people with disabilities and children with special educational needs. This arrangement has been made so that disabled students and other students with special needs can access the building with ease.
The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Irakli Karseladze visited the construction site of the new kindergarten and shared his views after inspecting the work. As per the Minister “The construction of a new kindergarten for 75 children in Okami village is in the final stage. The major part of the construction has been done and the rest of the work will be completed soon. The school yards will be equipped with attractions.”
The minister further said that “ Engineering networks, functional rooms, a hall for creative development, a food block and all other necessary infrastructural elements have been fully organized and arranged. The school also fulfil all students needs at the local level with affordable fees.”
The project is being implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development. Amount 1.8 Million GEL from the state budget will be utilized. According to the information in 2024-2025, 24 kindergartens will be constructed and 4 kindergartens will be rehabilitated in the Shida Kartli region.
