Georgia: Ramazi Razmadze and Tamar Gujejiani, two representatives of Georgian Competition and Consumer Protection Agency (GCCA) are participating in a seminar which is organized by Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development Budapest Regional Center (OECD-GVH RCC), Spanish Competition Commission and Basket Autonomous District Competition Authority.
The international seminar is an ongoing event which is being held in Bilbao, Spain. It is to be noted that Bilbao (Spain) is a government that provides for strengthening competition policy – capacity development in Southeast and Eastern Europe.
The seminar is called “Tourism, Transport and Competition” and is hosted with an aim to exchange experience among participants and to share best practical experiences by inviting experts from different institutions.Â
The seminar is a platform for discussing international experiences, exploring diverse methodologies, assessing outcomes, and addressing key challenges in these sectors.

About GCCA
The Georgian Competition and Consumer Protection Agency (GCCA) was established for the first time in April 2014 in line with the Georgian Law on Competition. The agency is an independent regulatory body, which aims to ensure there is healthy and unblemished competition within the Georgian market.
The agency established a training research centre last year with the goal to continuously strengthen the Agency team’s skills and support the provision of competition and consumer rights education throughout the community.
Moreover, Georgia has made substantial achievement in the implementation of competition policy and consumer protection in the period from 2022 to 2024.Â
