Lizi Megrelishvili, a student at Caucasus University shared her experience of studying in Spain under the Erasmus+ program at the University of Alcalá in Spain . She also encouraged other students to enroll in the Erasmus+ program to gain an international exposure.
Cacusus University took to its social media handles to share the successful story of Lizi Megrelishvili at the University of Alcalá in Spain. In her story she stated “I went to Spain for my second exchange semester from Caucasus University. I visited Warsaw and then went straight to Madrid for my higher study at the University of Alcala.”
She further stated “Spain was always my dream place to study and live because of its diverse culture and architecture. This was why I dreamed to join Spainsh University when I was still studying in the Bachelor of Architecture program at CU.”
Further she said “Studying in Spain was completely different from my experience in Georgia and Poland. The Spanish approach to teaching is much more creativity-oriented than Eastern European countries, which helped me to look at my profession in a new light.”
Alcala where the University is located is a relatively small area, so the student gets the experience of living in a real Spanish city. The city was just 20 minutes away from the culturally diverse centre of Madrid, Spain’s capital. You will never get bored here! If the Spanish aren’t having a siesta, they’re having a fiesta.
While talking about the study she added, At numerous workshops and seminars, I learned a lot about my specialty. Moreover it’s a great place to learn languages and my command of English and Spanish improved noticeably.”
All this could not have been possible without Caucasus University, especially the dean of the Department of International Relations, School of Architecture and Design. She expressed her gratitude to Mariam Menabdi for providing her students with the best opportunities.
She also thanked lecturers like Tako Valishvili, who genuinely care about students’ personal and academic development. Finally she advised all the students to enroll in the Erasmus+ program. She termed the program the best way to get international exposure.
