Tbilisi and Batumi Airport Authorities deny false information regarding the Auction

Tbilisi: The Management of Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports refused the misinformation that is being spread on social media pages. As per this misinformation, it was claimed that the Airport is Going to hold an auction of Found articles.

It is specifically to be mentioned that many social media handles were spreading this fake news. Now the managing company “Tav Georgia” of Tbilisi and Batumi airport have come forward and stated that these are baseless allegations. We have responsible management and we also want to assure the traveller that their belonging is always safe with us. 

 

“TAV Georgia “ also said that we have already reacted strongly to such misinformation campaigns which are being circulated on social media to tarnish the image of Tbilisi and Batumi airports at the international level.

On the other hand Tbilisi and Batumi International Airport also took to social media and posted on their official page that “We want to respond to the misinformation that is being spread on social networks through various fake pages as if the items found in the Lost & Found baggage department of Tbilisi International Airport are being auctioned”.

“Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports Managing Company “Tav Georgia” states with full responsibility that the information mentioned is not true and represents a complete falsehood, which aims to mislead the public. The company has already reacted to prevent the spread of misinformation and to block fake pages”.

With this information they also posted an image on a social media page namely “Georgia Airlines Auction”. In that image it was claimed that the airport authorities were going to auction the found article of the passengers.

Reacting to this post of Airport management users also supported the Airport and criticised such false claims of Auction.

One user, Nikoloz Xarauli, commented, “I have worked at LOST AND FOUND, and I can say with full responsibility that they are one of the nicest, friendliest and most responsive teams I’ve ever had. Good luck to TAV”.

Similarly another user Siuu Basta while replying to Nikoloz Xarauli commented that “I agree with you. We had a specialist brought to Tbilisi in our company. She lost a bag at the airport when I called you and asked for help. I found it so fast and even had it shipped to home address overseas!! Thank you so much, team!! Professionals of the job!!!”

 At the same time, a large number of social media users shared the posts of Tbilisi and Batumi International Airport and supported the airports.
