On Sunday, Buckingham Palace said that Queen Elizabeth II has tested positive for the Coronavirus, and she is experiencing mild symptoms such as cold-like symptoms.
The 95-year- old British Monarch is expected to continue her work remotely over the coming week at Windsor Castle, as stated by Buckingham Palace.
As per the reports, the 95-year-old British Monarch has received three doses of vaccines against Coronavirus.
According to the palace’s statement, “Queen Elizabeth II will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines.
Earlier this month, her 73-year-old son, Prince Charles and her 74-year-old daughter in law, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, have also come positive for the Coronavirus.
However, as per the reports, Prince also met his mother before testing positive for the Coronavirus, but Queen Elizabeth was not showing any symptoms, and she was being monitored.
People in Britain who test positive for Coronavirus are required to self-isolate for at least five days, though the British government says it plans to scrap that requirement for England in the coming week.
Many politicians worldwide sent get-well messages and wished her for a speedy recovery.
Sajid Javid, Health Secretary of the U.K, also took to Twitter to send get-well messages by adding, “Wishing Her Majesty The Queen a quick recovery.”
The doctors of the Queen ordered her to take a rest, and she was forced to cancel appearances at many events.
According to the data, the proportion of people fully vaccinated in the U.K is 72.7%, accounting for 4.89Cr people, and around 13.9Cr doses have been given until now.
An infectious diseases expert, Paul Hunter, at the University of East Anglia, said the Queen would likely be given one of several antiviral drugs that the U.K. has approved to treat COVID-19.
PM Boris Johnson also tweeted, “I’m sure I speak for everyone in wishing Her Majesty The Queen a swift recovery from COVID-19 and a rapid return to vibrant good health.”
