After construction work is completed, a youth centre has been opened in Zugdidi city of the Republic of Georgia. The centre will be named after Zviad Gamsakhudria.
It is worth noting that the library was built in the vicinity of the Dadiani Palace. The building has a total area of 3000 square meters. Furthermore, the newly designed building also accommodates a modern-standard multifunctional centre.
It also has a media library equipped with the latest technologies, amphitheatre-type reading, work, lecture, conference and museum halls, spaces for a café and administrative staff that will also work round the clock in this building.
It is also to be added that the youth centre, library and museum concept involves creating a modern space that will create the appropriate conditions for the development, processing, presentation and implementation of the local youth’s ideas.
he architectural work on the youth centre building was executed by Georgian specialists. It also has a tourist information centre.The building’s organisers have also planned temporary and permanent exhibitions, which will be organized in the museum hall which has a good capacity as well.
The library building is equipped with modern, energy-efficient heating, cooling and air conditioning, fire, external and internal video surveillance, public address and a BMS (Building Management System).
A unified management system has also been arranged for better event management. Moreover for constructing the building, energy-efficient materials have been used in the construction process. This installed equipment allows the building to retain as much heat as possible; thus, its operation will be associated with lower costs.
The library’s reading, working, and lecture spaces are already equipped with computers and monitors. The project was implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Infrastructure with a loan received from the Asian Development Bank and co-financing from the state budget, the cost of which amounted to 18.8 million GEL.
