Tbilisi: Givi Davitashvili, Head of the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia participated in the 163rd forum of DGCA. This significant meeting of directors general of the aviation authorities of the member states (ECAC DGCA/163) was successfully held under the auspices of the European Civil Aviation Conference.
As per the information, “Within the framework of the Forum, which was attended by more than seventy representatives of the ECAC member states, the parties discussed the main achievements of 2024, future plans and challenges facing the aviation sector.”
The meeting attendees while sharing further information said they have paid special attention to the discussion of crisis prediction and mitigation, as well as critical situations and crisis management measures.
The participants of the Forum reviewed the situation in the aviation labour market of local and international market and global indicators. It was noted that against the backdrop of a sharp increase in air traffic and considering the innovative environment, more efforts should be directed at maintaining the competencies of the workforce, diversity and improving communication.
At the same time this was also highlighted that there is need to spread awareness on the career opportunities in the aviation sector. At a special meeting of the Directors General of the Aviation Authorities of the ECAC Member States, the participants of meeting also discussed priority issues and cooperation projects for the European region.
Moreover, in accordance with the agenda the organization’s action plan for the coming years, budget and events planned in coordination with the member states were also discussed.
It is also worth to note that, within the framework of the event, Givi Davitashvili, Director of the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia, and Levan Karanadze, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Georgian Air Navigation Service, held meetings with the Executive Secretary of ECAC, invited international organizations and heads of aviation authorities of partner states.
